Green Summer Smoothie Ice Lollies

Cool down this summer with a fertility-friendly homemade Green Smoothie Ice lolly – packed full of nutritious ingredients for you to enjoy at breakfast, snack or with lunch. Green-coloured fruits and vegetables are some of the healthiest foods you can eat.

Packed with antioxidants and plant chemicals, they help support the immune system and detoxify the body, restore energy and vitality and have been linked in studies to reducing the risk of obesity, heart disease, high blood pressure and mental decline. Greens have long been known to help with the formation of blood and the proper functioning of the circulatory system in the body.  Because they are low in fat, high in fibre, and an excellent source of vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin K, potassium and magnesium, nitrates and folate, greens are a key colour to include plenty of in your diet when TTC.

Green Summer Smoothie Ice Lollies

Ingredients (makes around 10 ice lollies)

240 ml coconut water

240 ml orange juice

60 g baby spinach

1 ripe banana

250g pineapple chunks frozen

250g mango chunks frozen

1 inch fresh ginger peeled

Instructions

Place the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.

Pour the smoothie into an ice lolly mould with wooden sticks, cover, and freeze. Once frozen – Enjoy!
