Hello, everyone! Thanks for your patience. In our last update, I discussed our recent medical appointment, where we considered surgery, balloon retention, or surrogacy. The idea of a partial hysterectomy had previously been mentioned but was not on the table at this time. After our November 2023 appointment, my husband and I sought an additional opinion. In January, our new doctor identified that the scar tissue was from a past surgery some time ago. A surgery which came with a rare 1% chance of scar tissue forming. We are currently awaiting additional information on the surrogate option. Stay tuned for further updates!

The Update Hello, everyone! Welcome back as I give an update on our fertility journey! I’m excited to provide
“Welcome back everyone! I’m excited to share some great news from my recent appointment – the successful removal of the balloon. The doctor was pleased to find a healthy lining around it, allowing for its safe removal. I’m now transitioning from estrogen and antibiotics to Provera to regulate my menstrual cycle. Stay tuned for updates on my journey, and I’m immensely grateful for your thoughts and prayers. Wishing you all the best and many blessings!”
Hello, everyone! I’m back with a quick update on my recent medical appointment. It was my second postoperative checkup following the hysteroscopy I had in August for scar tissue.
During the appointment, we aimed to remove the balloon inserted during the procedure. However, my uterine lining still has some thin areas, so we’re keeping the balloon for two more weeks. I’ll return for its removal in two weeks. I’m continuing my prescribed regimen of 2mg of estrogen and an antibiotic. Thanks for your ongoing support, and I’ll keep you posted on my progress.”
“Today marked my two-week follow-up, subsequent to the procedure in which the Neupogen was inserted. During the appointment, the medical professional assessed the condition of the balloon, and it was determined that the fluid level within the balloon needed adjustment.
Upon examination, it was observed that the upper lining exhibited greater thickness compared to the lower lining. Consequently, the decision was made to maintain the placement of the balloon for an additional week. As part of my ongoing treatment plan, I will continue taking Estrace and the prescribed antibiotic. The antibiotic has been prescribed to mitigate the risk of infection. My daily routine includes taking Estrace at night, once a day, and administering the antibiotic following the same frequency.”

As a consequence of previous uterine surgeries, such as dilation and curettage (D&C), cesarean sections, or myomectomies, the formation of scar tissue within the uterine cavity can occur. This scar tissue, known as intrauterine adhesions or synechiae, can lead to a range of reproductive health issues, necessitating medical intervention through procedures like hysteroscopy for scar tissue removal.
Embark on our poignant IVF journey, where we embrace the promise of G-CSF treatment and surgical strides to surmount the challenges that lie ahead. With unwavering determination, we delve into the realm of fertility treatments, uncovering the potential of G-CSF to enrich the uterine lining—an essential element for successful embryo implantation in IVF. Follow along as we navigate uncharted territory, combining medical advancements and hope to carve a path towards new beginnings.
“In preparation for the next steps, we’ve set up a significant phone appointment on August 23rd. This conversation will be pivotal as we deliberate on the best course of action moving forward in our journey.”
