Indira IVF and SafeTree have joined forces to introduce a groundbreaking health insurance plan aimed at supporting couples struggling with infertility.
This collaboration seeks to revolutionize healthcare delivery in India by providing financial assistance to couples undergoing infertility treatment.
Dr. Kshitiz Murdia, CEO and Co-Founder of Indira IVF, expressed their commitment to raising awareness about infertility and supporting individuals on their journey to parenthood. He expressed excitement about the partnership with SafeTree, who share their vision of equitable infertility treatment, and the potential impact it can have on countless couples’ lives.
Vikas Anand, CEO of SafeTree Insurance, acknowledged the emotional challenges faced by couples dealing with infertility
Through consumer research, they discovered that a significant number of couples found treatment extremely challenging, with limited financial support. The proposition of offering insurance coverage for infertility treatment, particularly to the tier-II population with limited healthcare spending capacity, is unique and the first of its kind.
The insurance plan includes proactive measures such as medical, dietary, and psychological consultations for 24 months to enhance couples’ chances of conceiving naturally, especially for those under the age of 35. In cases where natural conception is not possible, the insurance program covers cashless treatments including two IUI (intrauterine insemination) and two IVF (in vitro fertilization) procedures. These treatments encompass various aspects, such as egg collection, laser-assisted hatching, blastocyst culture, and embryo transfer and freezing.
Additionally, Indira IVF and SafeTree are developing fertility assessment tools and insurance products supported by a panel of experts, including dieticians, counselors, and gynecologists. This comprehensive approach aims to create a holistic ecosystem for infertility treatment.
This collaboration between Indira IVF and SafeTree represents a significant step forward in providing accessible and affordable infertility treatment options for couples across India.
