Introducing Annie, the Artist Capturing the Beauty of Embryos

The art of giving….

As so many of us who have been through, or are going through IVF will know, friendships can become strained. IVF is demanding, both emotionally and physically, and unless you have been through it yourself – unless you have experienced the emotional strain of not knowing if you will ever become the parent you dream of being, it can be hard for friends to know what to say or how to offer comfort.

This is why Annie’s story touched us so much. Annie hasn’t been through IVF herself, but helped her friend with a unique gift

“I’m Annie, and I wanted to share the story behind my unique venture and how it all began. Recently, I discovered a passion for painting custom watercolour embryos, which has allowed me to connect with the beauty and significance of this remarkable process.

“Although I haven’t personally undergone IVF myself, I have been closely involved in the journeys of my dearest friends who have.

“Their strength and resilience have left an indelible mark on my heart

“Inspired by their courage and the challenges they face, I decided to surprise my best friend with a painting of her daughter’s embryo to show her that I was thinking of her and to remind her of just how special these little embryos are. She was so touched with the gift she shared it with her IVF community and unexpectedly, this ignited a wave of interest and requests from others who wanted to commemorate their own IVF journeys through art.

“I feel that this is my way of offering support and spreading love

“I offer three different sizes for custom watercolour embryo paintings: A5, A4, and A3. Whether you’d like to display it on your wall, gift it to a loved one, or keep it as a personal memento, these paintings serve as a tangible reminder of the beauty and resilience behind your journey.

“One of the unique aspects of my work is the ability to incorporate multiple embryos in a single layout. Additionally, I provide a wide range of colours to choose from. Whether you prefer soft pastels, vibrant hues, or a combination of both, I can bring your vision to life on paper. I can also include a name, date of birth or if it is an embryo that holds a place in your heart you may like to add the transfer date. If your embryo image isn’t the clearest, don’t worry the beauty lies in the abstract representation.

“If you’re interested in having your very own custom watercolour embryo painting, you can connect with me on Instagram @anembryodrawn or via email at anembryodrawn@gmail.com. Please feel free to browse through my Instagram page, ask any questions you may have, and discuss your unique requirements. I’m here to collaborate with you and create a personalised artwork that resonates with your journey.

“Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your journey. I’m looking forward to connecting with you.”
