What is surrogacy?
Surrogacy, is an assisted reproduction method in which a woman carries a baby that will ultimately be raised by someone else. This technique provides an alternative for those who cannot conceive naturally.
Through a prearranged agreement with another person or couple, a woman becomes pregnant with an egg that is not her own and gives birth to a baby for the intended parents. Typically, the egg used for pregnancy comes from either the intended mother or an egg donor.
