IUI in 2016: The beginning of our Journey

Embark on our IUI journey, delving into the realm of assisted reproductive technology (ART) aimed at enhancing our chances of conception. In this continuation from our previous post, we explore the intricacies of Intrauterine Insemination (IUI), a procedure involving the direct placement of sperm into the uterus. Ideal for couples facing fertility challenges, IUI addresses issues like low sperm count, cervical mucus problems, or unexplained infertility. Our protocol involved clinic visits for sample provision and the subsequent insemination, with initial hopes high. Unfortunately, after three failed IUI attempts in July, August, and September of 2016, the emotional toll led us to a thoughtful decision to take a break from the fertility treatment process.
