Support your fertility and your immune system this autumn with this ‘nutritious and delicious’ smoothie. While there’s no specific “fertility juice or smoothie” that guarantees conception, certain nutrients like vitamin D may support fertility when included in a well-balanced diet.
Vitamin D plays a role in hormone regulation, immune system support and overall reproductive health. This smoothie is also rich in vitamin C from the oranges and carrots, which can be beneficial for fertility. It’s also a good source of beta-carotene from the carrots and provides a tropical twist with the addition of mango. The choice of milk adds protein, vitamin D plus other important nutrients and can be adjusted to suit your dietary preferences. Enjoy!
Vitamin D Smoothie
Ingredients:
2 oranges, peeled and chopped (if using bought orange juice it may also be fortified with vitamin D)
1 large carrot, peeled and chopped
50g mango, chopped
200ml milk of choice
To make:
Peel and chop all fruits. Add everything to a blender and blend until smooth. Pour over ice.
