Why are the Key ingredients in this smoothie good for us?

Almond Milk Almond milk is an excellent source of vitamin E, naturally containing 22% of the recommended daily vitamin E requirement in a 100ml portion.

Berries are a fantastic source of antioxidants as well as vitamins, minerals, and fibre to help ‘zap’ those free radicals that can lead to oxidative stress in cells and thus help prevent damage to the DNA. They also help with cognitive function, keeping the brain healthy and helping lower inflammation in the body.

Avocados are amazing! Avocados are fruits and are also known as ‘alligator pears’ due to the texture of the skin and being shaped like a pear! They are packed with vitamin E and numerous other nutrients from folate to vitamin K, are a good source of healthy monounsaturated fats (important in helping to reduce inflammation), and contain a small amount of carbohydrates so they great for helping balance sugar levels, hormone levels, and energy too.

Cinnamon is a warming spice that helps to stabilise glucose and triglyceride levels in the blood. It acts as a fantastic antiseptic and a powerful antioxidant which also helps to reduce inflammation in the body.
