They can be used practically, for example, to calibrate electronic sound equipment, or more theoretically, for example, in describing certain properties of radiation,” says audiologist Jennifer Schumacher, Au.D., F-AAA, who adds that today, we’re seeing more applications related to personal health or well-being.
