Almost a year following the heartbreaking loss of their IVF miracle baby, Oliver, Sarah Herron, a participant from Bachelor Nation, and her husband Dylan Brown, are anticipating the arrival of IVF twins
The 37-year-old reality star, known for her appearances on Season 17 of The Bachelor in 2013 and the inaugural season of Bachelor in Paradise in 2014, shared the joyful news on her Instagram story.
She updated her followers, stating, ‘Appointment today went well, the babies are growing on track! Next appointment in 3 weeks. The babies look so round and chubs! Little Rolly pollies!’ In another post featuring both embryos, she humorously commented, ‘F**k around with IVF long enough and one day you might definitely get multiples.’
Herron revealed a moment of surprise, initially thinking she was having triplets due to a peculiar occurrence during the first ultrasound. She explained, ‘What’s really crazy is, and I haven’t talked about this yet, is that when I went in for 1st ultrasound, there were actually 3 gestational sacs.’ Clarifying, she added, ‘SOOO… this means for about 15 seconds I had a heart attack there was going to be triplets.’
The ultrasound disclosed two embryos, Baby A and Baby B, while the third sac turned out to be an ’empty sac,’ referred to as a ‘blighted ovum’ or a ‘vanishing twin/triplet.’
Sharing a photo with husband Dylan Brown, whom she married in August after their engagement in May 2021, Herron acknowledged her recent absence from content creation due to exhaustion. She expressed gratitude for the ongoing support and pledged to be more creative in the second trimester when she regains energy.
In an inadvertent revelation, Herron disclosed the gender of the twins in another Instagram story while discussing her grief over Oliver. Tearfully sharing her emotions, she mentioned her grief for Oliver, whose heavenly birthday was approaching. She expressed the heavy sorrow but also revealed her belief that Oliver was sending her twin girls for comfort.
Responding to a follower’s enthusiastic ‘GIRLS!!’ comment, Herron acknowledged the slip, stating, ‘Oops. Cat’s outta the bag. But yes, we know the sex of all our embryos.’
Herron and Brown had welcomed their son Oliver prematurely at 24 weeks on January 28, but sadly, he passed away just hours after birth.
