As she reached the age of 30 and navigated single hood, Annabelle felt a sense of urgency and contacted a fertility clinic to choose a donor. Although she couldn’t select the exact donor, she had the opportunity to choose physical characteristics and aspects of their past. Opting for someone she would typically date, Annabelle focused on traits like brown hair, blue eyes, and a background in working at a pub, aiming for a down-to-earth personality. Additionally, the donor’s history in musical theatre was chosen in the hope that her daughter would inherit confidence.
After having 32 eggs retrieved, Annabelle discovered her pregnancy on April 28, 2023. Her daughter, Ottilie, was born on January 8, 2024, via C-section. Despite facing endometriosis and undergoing a challenging IVF journey, Annabelle emphasizes the importance of hope for others facing similar situations. She encourages those with endometriosis to stay resilient, acknowledging that while the process may be draining, the end result is profoundly rewarding.
